TRAINING/COURSE STRUCTURE

From the very moment you arrive at the Range on the first day and are introduced to the instructors you are given a clear outlook on what the course will entail, who the instructors are and a brief insight into their qualifications. The course is structured in such a way to ensure maximum weapons handling and firing, I have never fired so many rounds in such a short period.

WEAPONS

An excellent variety of weapons all in prime condition accompanied by masses of ammunition and outstanding instruction, I came on the course to re-establish my own weapons handling procedures and came away proficient and highly confident with some weapons I had never handled and polished off my skills on the weapons I was used to.

FACILITIES

Great range that benefits from a decent club house and outside seating area, Big Andy is the King of the wet.

ADMINISTRATION/BOOKING OF THE COURSE

Right from my initial enquiry Julies administration was exceptional, every question I asked I was given a clear answer to that enabled me to book with ease. Julie even advised on flights which was not part of her remit and provided me with an up to date weather forecast.

ACCOMMODATION

I should have known that as soon as I walked through the door at our accommodation that we were lined up for a luxury stay. Jane and Theo welcomed us with a spread fit for a king which was most welcome after a RyanAir Cheese roll for lunch. Each day after the range Jane welcomed us with a hot brew and fresh baked cakes or biscuits followed by a meal that would put most restaurants to shame. Jane and Theo were outstanding hosts.

The moment I left the course I had emailed some of my colleagues recommending the course and will continue to do so.

VALUE FOR MONEY

When you consider four nights in similar accommodation would cost £220, various ammo including 338 and 308 at least £ 300, which leaves weapons and instruction costing £480 for four days full on training, I recently paid £550 for a 1 day course using 22LR.

Simply excellent value for money!!

OVERALL COMMENTS

Having not used some of the weapons systems before and being a bit rusty on some others I really came on the course to prove to myself that I was not a liability to myself or colleagues in theatre. The exceptional method of instruction from all of the staff led me to address any bad practices that had crept in. By the end of the course I had more than achieved my goal and became more than confident in my own capabilities and that of the weapons I used. The staff instructor ratio on this course clearly pays dividends. Many thanks to all at euro tactical.
